The 10 stamps from the early issue, printed on watermarked paper, are typologically—in uncirculated condition—the hardest-to-find banknotes from the Łódź ghetto.
This piece, with the low serial number 000393 and an “ENTWERTET” stamp on the reverse, comes from a set offered in our auction A28/87.
A slight clip mark on the upper margin—resulting from the set of specimen banknotes being clamped together for an extended period—has been skillfully stabilized by a professional conservator and is only slightly noticeable under side lighting.
The banknote has been certified by PMG with an excellent grade of 66 EPQ.
