Two-denomination coins were introduced in the Kingdom of Poland in 1832 following the suppression of the November Uprising. They were one of the visible measures taken to limit the autonomy of the Kingdom of Poland.
A rare year, with the lowest mintage among the St. Petersburg zlotys (surpassed in rarity only by the 1841 issue, minted in an unknown quantity).
Slightly re-struck.
