A magnificent piece of art.
This is the most beautiful Ksawery gulden ever to appear at Polish auctions.
Its natural, mint-state condition has been graded MS61—the highest and only grade awarded by both NGC and PCGS.
It was issued by the Polish prince, Franciszek Ksawery Wettin, son of Augustus III of Saxony, who served as administrator of the Electorate of Saxony from 1763 to 1768.
On the reverse are the initials “EDC,” standing for Ernest Dietrich Croll, the mint’s director.
