According to the previous owner’s account, these medals once belonged to Lt. Stefan Wierzyński. Born in 1899 in Borysów, he was murdered in 1940 in Katyn. He was a lawyer and an employee of the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego in Równe. During the September Campaign, he served as deputy information officer for the 41st Infantry Division. Author of the book: “An Outline of the Military History of the 14th Infantry Regiment of the Polish Army.”
