Souvenir box for a set of coins from the November Uprising, made after the fall of the uprising to preserve the insurgent money withdrawn by the tsarist government.
Beautiful workmanship, red, with gilding, with the inscription MEMORIAL 1831 under the eagle.
Unusually nicely preserved. Slight rubbing at the lock, slightly peeled leather on the spine, but no rubbing. Slightly peeled paper at bottom. Beautiful.
