According to the collector's notes and oral transmission, the medal is after Lt. Col. Jan Balsewicz /b. 1887/ - more information on Lt. Col. here. He received the Virtuti Militari Cross for his counterattack against the Bolsheviks.
Piece, the previous owner received from Dorota Balsewicz, wife of nephew Tadeusz Balsewicz, who was his dependent.
