Badge of the 317th "Vilnius" Fighter Squadron. - the last fully fighter squadron formed in the West as part of the Polish Air Force. The order for its formation was issued on February 20, 1941.
The badge of the 317th Squadron was identical in composition to the emblem of the 152nd Squadron of the Polish Army in the Second Republic, differing only in color.
It depicts an attacking condor in blue against a white isosceles cross.
Made in silver, enameled.
Mounting post with inch pitch, original nut included (12.7 mm).
Preservation condition of the badge close to perfect.
