100 zlotych 1919

add Your note
Lot description
Grade: F+
Reference: Miłczak 53

The 100 zlotych note was one of the banknotes in circulation for the longest period during the Second Polish Republic.

It was introduced on the day the Bank of Poland opened (April 28, 1924) and was not withdrawn from circulation until January 1940 by the occupying forces. This denomination was supplemented by a large issue of a new type (from 1932–1934), which meant that it naturally wore out in circulation and was not available in large quantities by the time World War II broke out.
