An incredibly rare denomination of the Danzig transitional issue. Stabilizing after the break with the mark currency during the period of inflation, and before the establishment of the Bank of Danzig and the introduction of the guilder issue proper in March 1924.
The banknote was issued with a date of October 22, 1923 and put into circulation three days later, on October 25. The issue is very small, falling within a 5-digit numerator with no series designation.
The banknote is very rarely seen in the trade. It occurred only once in our offer, in 2018!
A nice piece in no circulation wear condition.
Folded only vertically in half and with a partial half horizontal fold. Dampness during storage has caused noted fungal changes in the paper and the appearance of dark spots, but the paper itself is preserved in very good condition.
Definitely an above average piece and a very attractive, rare value.
