A unique item, a handwritten sketch / design of a Weimar city voucher for 50 fenigs.
The project made in 1:1 scale on thin paper of size 115 x 80 mm. In addition, a second handwritten pencil sketch of a portion of the voucher, glued to presentation cardboard. The cardboard box measures 215 x 157 mm.
On the carton, at the bottom, a pencil description and Menzel's signature. From an oral transmission from the present owner, information that this signature belongs to the painter's son, Adolph Menzel, who lived in Silesia in the pre-war period (the steel mill in Chorzow).
Design preserved in very good condition.
