A very rare and impressive proof print.
Piece printed in a completely different color scheme than the approved version.
Important from the point of view of the history of Polish paper money is the annotation on its left margin. First written "design approved", then the approval crossed out and the annotation "the color will be red". This information bears the signature of Karol Chybinski, chief coordinator of the printing and production of banknotes in exile, former technical director of the Polish Security Printing Works and dated 21.7.42. Thanks to this we know when the decision was made to change the color of this denomination.
One other change was made in the final version regarding the watermark. The one used in the present proof printing finally went to the 20 zloty bill.
Condition of preservation without any deflection. Fully natural. With well felt printing texture and visible numerator embossing from obverse to reverse. Only a small yellowish stain on the lower margin, looking like a "smear" of glue.
A high quality item.
Definitely recommended.
