A set of specimens of the first issue of PeKoO (Pewex) vouchers of 1960, in a commemorative case for the 50th anniversary of PeKaO Bank (1979).
Booklet complete, with number 12. In standard design with stitched and bound spine, here additionally perforated and laced to the case. The case in an exclusive design of natural, navy blue-dyed leather. All in beautiful, issue condition.
All designs with zero numbering and perforation MODEL.
An interesting feature in the set is the design of the lowest denomination 1 cent. It is the only one in the set that is not sewn into the back of the binding. It looks as if it was originally forgotten about and then added to the finished booklet, tacked with a stapler to the first 5 cent voucher in it. It is still interesting in that it is the only one in the booklet with an additional double perforation SKASED horizontally and vertically. In such a version, or with such a perforation at all, none of the denominations are listed in Cz. Miłczak' s catalog .
The 1 cent voucher has a crease in the left edge (and a staple), otherwise its condition is unremarkable. In general, the whole, including the voucher booklet, appears to be preserved in stock condition, unstapled, unbent. Individual vouchers from 5 cents to $100 on general external inspection show no signs of sagging at the spine, which is a standard problem of such booklets acting as specimens at bank tellers.
A beautiful set.
