A recent auction in the UK, which sold currency from the archives of British securities printer Bradbury & Wilkinson, auctioned a one-off design of a 1940 Polish 20 zloty banknote featuring Ignacy Paderewski. A video on this subject on our YouTube here
This design was an altered version (altered date and series) of a design prepared earlier, dated 1927 (its archival photograph, most likely the only one confirming its existence, here)
The subject of this offer is a very interesting item, being a presentation / advertising / test print of the Bradbury & Wilkinson label described as EXPERIMENTAL SPECIMEN, where as one of the motifs was used an image of Ignacy Paderewski, in a view exactly like on the above mentioned designs.
Executed in noble intaglio technique, according to the consultation most likely from the early 1950s.
Issuing state of preservation.
Dimensions 140 x 90 mm.
