A banknote that is rightly considered the rarest type of Polish circulating banknote of the 20th century.
It appears in commerce exceedingly rarely, and if it does, it is in very poor states of preservation.
A version with a corrected clause on the back, it was introduced into circulation on April 24, 1924. It was quickly dispersed in it, and due to the high demand for this denomination, it was supplemented in circulation by a second issue (dated 1924), and soon also by a new type of 1926 issue.
It remained in circulation until February 1928, and it was still possible to exchange it until the end of 1929. The denomination represented considerable purchasing power, also in exchange it was effectively pulled from circulation by the issuer. Only a few pieces remained on the market. Today, every appearance of this denomination arouses the highest excitement among collectors.
A very nice piece. In circulated condition, but not heavily worn by circulation and left in its natural state. Without cleaning or any conservation treatment.
Paper with preserved stiffness. Only minor and few micro tears on the edges, no deeper tears.
A great rarity in attractive condition.
