Excerpt from the Cartulary of the Potocki collection, edited by Bartynowski

add Your note
Lot description

Twelve sheets of descriptive card stock from the collection of Andrew Potocki, two of which are blank and the rest filled in. In beautiful, careful handwriting and very extensive even with common coins. Including pasted-in inserts - "bartynotypes".

Great and unique items.

In practice not found on the market at all, as most of the cards bound in distinctive green covers are now in museum collections.

The present, small piece of this sheet offered by us, concerns mainly the half-penny of Sigismund I, but there is also a card from the magnificent Double Thaler of Batory, though here without "bartynotypes".

Cards on thick paper, handmade and in part watermarked. When unfolded, the format is ~32.5 x 25 cm.
