Contents of the set in the preliminary outline:
- 3 print editions of stock market publications,
- archival Drawing Gazette of January 31, 1904,
- an extensive set of individual documents from the final period of the Exchange's operation at the beginning of the occupation.
This is a very interesting original set from the then employee of the Exchange. It contains a range of information documenting the final period of the Exchange's operation important for a more complete understanding of its history.
We have presented all the individual documents in the attached photos. This allows you to fully familiarize yourself with their contents, the value of this set, however, is that it contains the originals. The documents often bear official seals and numerous signatures of those who constituted the Exchange at the time.
Very telling here, for example, is a set of documents dated March 29, 1940, terminating all employees of the Exchange and signed by them: "Due to the suspension of exchange meetings and office activities, the Warsaw Money Exchange is forced to terminate the employment relationship with its employees and terminates their employment as of the 1st of April 1940 ...".
It would seem that even a relatively standard item such as the Report of the Money Exchange in Warsaw for 1938 in this set is all the more interesting here, as in many places it has pencil annotations placed probably by a person from inside the Exchange at the time, most likely its secretary - Antoni Koch.
From the context of the surviving documents, it can be inferred that this is a set of documents preserved just by the then Secretary of the Exchange - Antoni Koch, left behind. This is also indicated by the ownership signature from the printed materials, identical to Antoni Koch's signature, for example, on the payroll.
The whole preserved in very good, even unprecedented condition for such ensembles.
