The first monographic study of coins of the Polish Middle Ages. Written in a very clear and pleasant to read, even colorful language. Although a work from nearly 200 years ago, it is still largely up-to-date. A great asset of this pioneering work is that it is based on a detailed analysis of excavations, on the basis of which conclusions are drawn about the attribution and dating of coins. The years of research on Polish medieval minting since the publication of this first work by Kaźmirz Stronczynski show how accurate they were.
