The first vintage of double-denomination gold coins in a very rare variety.
Distinguished by the depiction of Saint George with a mantle. Many times higher valued than the variety without the mantle (Berezowski 90 zlotys compared to 6 zlotys).
Two-coin coins were introduced inthe Kingdom of Poland in 1832 after the suppression of the November Uprising. They were one of the visible forms of limiting the autonomy of the Kingdom of Poland. This beautifully fresh piece is from the first year of issuance of this type of coin.
A rare vintage, with the lowest mintage among St. Petersburg gold coins (rarer only 1841 minted in an unknown mintage).
Very nice detail and luster. Surface cleaning.
