Lot description
Grade: VF
Reference: Bitkin 825, Plage 45, Berezowski 2.50 zł

The first type of two-dollar partition coins, minted without a flange. A type that wore out faster in circulation, due to the lack of the characteristic raised rim.

Important for typological collections of coins of the period, as this is the only vintage of two-coin coins on which this type of portrait of the tsar and eagle appears (changed as early as 1817).
