The last vintage of the first type of 25-gold coins of the times of partition. A distinctive type without a raised, pearl edge, which protected the coin's relief from rapid abrasion in circulation.

A rare and valued item - a Polish 19th century gold coin.

A very nice piece. Naturally lustrous, only slightly moved by circulation.

Gold, diameter 19 mm, weight 4.89 g.

Obverse: head of Alexander I to the right, in the rim:
ALEXANDER I - EMPEROR SA - W - ROS - KING OF POLAND *.

Reverse: Russian-Polish eagle, under the paws initials I.B. (Jacob Benicke) and date 1819; within the rim:
* 25 ZLOTY - POLSK - 52 Z GRZ - CZ - KOL *.
