Very rare, first vintage minting of the highest denomination coins of the Kingdom of Poland.

Type minted between 1817 and 1819, characterized by the absence of a raised rim to protect the coin's relief, which was vulnerable to abrasion.

The present piece with well-preserved relief and luster.

Mintage of 17,194 pieces.

Gold, diameter 23 mm, weight 9.8 g.

Obverse: head of Alexander I to the right, in the rim:
ALEXANDER I - EMPEROR SA - W - ROS - KING OF POLAND *.

Reverse: Russian-Polish eagle, under the paws initials I.B. and date 1817; in the rim:
* 50 ZLOTYS - POLSK - 26 Z GRZ - CZ - KOL *.
