The highest denomination of coins of the Kingdom of Poland.
Second vintage minted in very nice state of preservation.
Type minted in 1817-1819, characterized by the lack of a raised rim to protect the coin's relief, which is vulnerable to abrasion. The present piece with well-preserved relief. Very nice luster and virtually full mint mirror on the reverse.
A rare gold coin from the occupation of Poland.
Obverse: head of Alexander I to the right, in the rim:
ALEXANDER I - EMPEROR SA - W - ROS - KING OF POLAND *.
Reverse: Russian-Polish eagle, under the paws initials I.B. and date 1818; in the rim:
* 50 ZLOTYS - POLSK - 26 Z GRZ - CZ - KOL *.
