A rare guilder type of the first of the Saxons on the Polish throne.
A coin with distinctive iconography, devoid of references to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Without the coats of arms of Poland and Lithuania (a monogram was placed in their place), but also the title of the King of Poland in the obverse rim (there is REX ET ELECTOR - King and Elector, but without the abbreviation of the word Poland). This is reflected in history. This is an issue after the dethronement of August II, before his return to the country in 1709.
The type was minted at the Dresden mint, in only two vintages.
