The only portrait thaler of August II the Strong from the issue for Poland.
A very rare type, noticeably rarer than thalers with the Order of Dannebrog (only 1 time in our history for every 6 thalers with the Order).
A distinctive, large coin with the image of the king on the obverse and an interesting reverse depicting: a crowned cross of St. Andrew with a five-field shield centrally, with the Order of the Elephant hanging on the ribbon.
Struck at the Leipzig mint, with the distinctive Pike and the initials EP-H (Ernst Peter Hecht).
Piece removed from the setting (vaulted edge, traces of fixing on the reverse) and a smoothed background.
Silver, diameter 41 mm, weight 27.75 g.
