A very rare vintage of a very difficult to complete denomination.
Contrary to catalog valuations by Edmund Kopicki, among others, the quarter guilder (1/6th of a thaler) is a very rare denomination, despite being minted throughout the reign of Augustus III of Saxony. The only vintage regularly appearing in the trade is 1763. Others, such as 1746, which had no degree of rarity at all in the "Directory," appear once every few / several years. The yearbook 1736 Kopicki did not note at all! This is a vintage also absent from the famous O. Merseburger collection.
The coin in a nice state of preservation, especially the reverse. Surface protected by a professionally applied thin layer of varnish.
