A rare, nice gold coin of August III.

Issued by the Dresden mint, with the shields of the Republic on the reverse.

Representative of the first type of ducats of this king, minted in 1735-1755. With hook mark and initials of Freidrich Wilhelm ô Feral (mincmaster of the Dresden mint).

Obverse: bust of the king to the right. In the rim:D:G:FRID:AUGUST:REX POL: DUX SAX:I:C:M:A:&W:.

Reverse: crowned, six-field shield above hook and letters F.W.ó.F. In rim:SAC:ROM:IMP:ARCHIM:ET ELECT.1750.

Gold, diameter 21.5 mm, weight 3.15 g.
