The penultimate vintage of thalers from the issue for Poland (the so-called "Banco-Taler").
Contrary to his oath in the Pacta conventa, and without the permission of the Sejm and Senate, King August III begins issuing coins for Poland in 1749, in Dresden. First, copper crown shekels, in subsequent years supplementing the issues with silver and gold coins. Thalers minted only in 1753-1756, where their issues for Saxony lasted practically throughout the reign (1734-1763).
Avery nice presentation piece, with only a local scratch of dirt at the POLONIARUM. Coin with natural, light mint luster.
Variant with a massive portrait of the king, with a larger crown.
Variant with shading of the reverse crown.
