Rare, the largest of the series of commemorative coins minted on the occasion of the nuptials of August III.
A striking thaler with a beautiful iconography of joined burning hearts and the phrase INDISSOLVBILITER(inseparable), which proved prophetic for the couple.
It was an issue commemorating the wedding of the future king of Poland - Frederick Augustus - to Maria Josepha, who came from the Habsburg family. Their betrothal, after years of efforts (as early as 1704 August II the Strong was said to have sought her hand in marriage to his son of several years), took place in Vienna, in March 1719. The wedding, in turn, took place a few months later (August 20).
