The largest coin of the first Vicariate issue of August III.
A beautiful, impressive thaler.
Very rare in this state of preservation.
The first issue of vicarian coins of the Polish king took place during the reign of Augustus II. The name comes from the privilege of the Saxon electors, who, according to it, held the vicariate in the Saxon district after the death of the emperor. On this occasion, a number of coins with distinctive iconography were minted. This tradition was not interrupted either by his son, August III, who minted his first coins just in 1740.
The most beautiful thaler of this issue we had on offer.
