Lot description
Grade: NGC MS62
Certificate: NGC 5789033-007
Reference: Kopicki 36 (R4), Stronczyński T.37

A beautiful mint coin, only slightly deficient in the rim.

The first Polish coin to bear the denomination's name, DENARIVS (here misspelled DENAIVS).

The coin, about which Kalkowski wrote that it is "a kind of revelation," and Stronczynski added that it is"exceptional money, the minting of which soon had to be abandoned."

A rare and historically important type of denarius.
