Lot description
Grade: XF+
Reference: Kopicki 54 (R3), Stronczyński T.51

Very nicely minted and preserved oldest type of Curly denarii. The quality of the minting is evidenced, among other things, by the visible outline of the throne back.

Variety with both names in clockwise notation.

Above the prince's head an additional row of balls.

A distinctive type with a representation of St. Adalbert's head in a square reliquary. According to Professor Suchodolski, the choice of this patron was a manifestation that it was the saint himself who sanctioned the seizure of power.

Silver, diameter 16.5 mm, weight 0.52 g.
