The denarius of Boleslaus IV with the Emperor on the throne is a coin whose issue is linked to the tribute paid to Frederick Barbarossa in Krzyzkow near Poznan in 1157.
A rare variety with a different notation of the prince's name. The usual arrangement is BOL EZL AVS (three letters in a row). The present one in the notation BOLZ LEAV S[and mysterious characters - KI lying E / W lying E (?)].
In addition, the crescent moon on the left side is missing, and the figure of the emperor holding a lilac scepter and apple is flanked by beams.
Very nice condition.
