A very rare, second sample of a two-dollar coin of Madeyski's design.
Uncirculated coin, with light scratches on the hoard and with the rim filed down in two places, but with a beautiful patina and fine luster.
The first proof two-dollar coins with the Head of a Woman were made in 1932, by intruding the intaglio inscription SAMPLE. Only the 1933 issue was made by preparing a dedicated stamp. Distinguished by the convex inscription SAMPLE.
Mintage of only 100 pieces.
Bronze, diameter 22 mm, weight 3.96 g.
