The second issue of Charles Ferdinand's coins took place as early as 1632.
Using the rights of the Bishops of Wroclaw, a number of numismatic coins are minted in his name at the mint in Nysa. Their variety, however, is not due to the multitude of stamps prepared, but to the form of these coins. The same stamps are used to mint multiples of ducats and fractions of thalers, both in the form of round coins and clips. In the case of silver coins, there are eight- and four-sided clips.
This type, in square form, is found noticeably less frequently at auctions in Poland. The last time it was listed at them was in 2011.
Unsigned issue, attributed by Marek Folwarniak to mincmaster Huser.
A very rare, striking numismatic piece.
