A very rare vintage of the Kettler brothers' co-reigning shekels.
The first vintage of Mithavian shekels after a hiatus of several years in issuance (since 1600), as the 1601 and 1602 vintages are unknown. The first in the new type, with the Sigismund III titulature in the rim (SIGIS III...).
A variety with the Stippel mint mark splitting the date in half - 16 arrow 04.
Very nicely, deeply and centrally embossed for this issue.
