The largest coin minted by the Mitavian mint during the time of Prince Peter Biron.

Being the only 18th-century thaler of the principality of Courland and Semigallia. Its last silver coin.

After 1780, the Mitavian mint ceases its operations, and already in 1795, after the partition of the Republic, the principality is incorporated into the Russian Empire.

A variety with a longer stalk at the bottom of the shield (of 9 leaves).
