An uncommon numismatic coin in the trade.
A striking mint destruction of the General Government's five-penny coin.
Zinc five-penny coins during the Partition period were minted on specially prepared disks - with a hole cut in the center. This was brilliantly elaborated by Piotr Kosanowski (Numismatic Portal), in an article in which he presented both the stamp of these coins and the arguments supporting this thesis.
The present piece was struck on a poorly prepared disc - with an off-center cut hole (shifted to the right), which, when struck with the stamps, resulted in its distortion (respectively, at the point of greatest pressure by the stamp).
The first time in our offer, as well as probably the first time at auction in Poland in general.
A rarer item than the prized 1939 5 pennies without a hole.
