A rare and nicely preserved brakteat.

Issue once attributed to the Piasts of Greater Poland, more specifically to Odon Mieszkowic. Now described as a 12th-century coin, of unknown ruler, from the Mazovian / Kuyavian area.

Depicting the figure of a knight in nimbus, with a sword in his right hand and a shield in his left hand.

An example of the minting in Poland of bracteates modeled on the Magdeburg bracteates with Saint Maurice.

Silver, diameter 17 mm, weight 0.12 g.
