Lot description
Grade: F
Reference: Kopicki 3113 (R5)

A very rare, high denomination of Inflants coins.

The opening of the mint at Dahlen Castle was commissioned by King Sigismund II Augustus, the money obtained in production was to be used to pay the Polish troops stationed there. The undertaking was supervised by Hetman Jan Hieronim Chodkiewicz.

Perforation is common for this denomination, but at the same time very nice legibility.

Silver, diameter 27.5 mm, weight 4.93 g.
