A very rare three-carat coin of Jan Kazimierz, issued for the Duchy of Opole-Racibor, with the portrait and titular of the Polish king.
The second year of this issue, which was initiated by the Warsaw treaty between Ladislaus IV and Emperor Ferdinand III. It was on the lands of the Duchies of Opole and Racibórz that the only three-coin coins of John Casimir were minted, as part of the overdue dowries received. Very rare today, which was also influenced by a decree issued by the Habsburgs already after the pledge was redeemed in 1666. As T. Kalkowski describes it, "one of the first imperial decrees was a ban on the circulation of Polish money in Silesia, rigorously enforced."
