The beginning of the issue of orts in Cracow coincides with the Deluge. The city begins minting this denomination in 1655, after the Sejm in 1654 annihilated the reform from the beginning of the reign of Jan Kazimierz. The mint was leased to St. Chrzastowski, who hired Jan Thamm as mint manager. Already in October, the mint fell into Swedish hands, remaining in them until August 1657. For Krakow, these are times of fighting and great losses. Throughout this period orts are minted.A variety with the letters SCH in the border under the Wieniawa coat of arms.
