An orth from a rare issue of only one year.
Being the only vintage of Lithuanian orts in the entire history of the issue of this denomination in the Republic.
Titus Livius Boratini, whose initials are placed under the royal bust, was responsible for its minting. He opened two mints in Lithuania that year: in Brest and Vilnius. The former for copper, and the latter for silver and gold. He based the operation of the mint in Vilnius mainly on sixpences, which he minted the most, completing the issue of orts already in the year of opening.
Variety with border on obverse and reverse.
A variant with CASIM... POLO on the obverse.
