The first vintage of John Casimir's orts minted according to the new minting ordinance from sterling silver of 14 lats (16 lats - pure bullion).
Piece from the Wschowa mint, which in this reign experienced its golden years in terms of the number of denominations issued, their quality of workmanship and the size of the issue. The mint opened by Andrzej Tymf, located on the border between the Crown and Silesia, minting orts between 1650 and 1655.
A rare variety distinguished by an Arabic singular (instead of Roman) in the denomination marking.
