After years of hiatus in issuing small coins, a new ordnance is issued in 1650. Minting in Poland revives, after a period of minting only thalers and ducats. The issuance of denominations such as shelahs, bicorns, sixpences and just orts begins. Orts, the issuance of which under John Casimir continues intermittently until his abdication, being a full-fledged good coin, in the troubled times of the Deluge, the emptying of the treasury, the flood of boratines and sub-value tymphes.
The first vintage inaugurating the issue of this denomination in Wschowa. A mint opened by Andrew Tymf, located on the border between the Crown and Silesia, minting orts between 1650 and 1655.
