Lot description
Grade: VF
Reference: Szatalin WS55-I-1 (R4)
Collection: Zbiór Zbichorskich

The last vintage of the Wschowa orts.

From a mint that in this reign experienced its golden years in terms of the number of denominations issued, their quality of workmanship and the size of the issue. A mint opened by Andrzej Tymf, located on the border between the Crown and Silesia, minting orts between 1650 and 1655. Throughout this period, maintaining the characteristic iconography of orts - depicting the king not with a crown, but a laurel wreath.

Contrary to estimates in old literature, the 1655 vintage is a very rare, hard-to-find vintage in the trade.
