Lot description
Grade: VF/VF+
Reference: Ivanauskas 7JK19-2 (R), Kopicki 3622 (R1)

A sixpence from a rare, only a few years old issue of this denomination in Vilnius of the time of John Casimir.

A rare variety with the king's titular notation beginning with IOAN CAS and ending with SV.

The rarity of the CAS notation is confirmed, among others, by Ivanauskas' study, where out of 9 variants with CASI from that year, there is only 1 with CAS.

Variant with asterisks on the sides of the denomination digit.
