The rarest, striking variety of the Lithuanian sixpence of King John Casimir.
Coin unknown to the author of the monograph of Lithuanian minting - Ivanauskas.
Listed in the Catalogue of Polish Coins with the highest degree of rarity R8.
A sixpence with incomplete titulature of the king - no "by God's grace". - D G (Dei Gratia). Ivanauskas described only one sixpence with a lack (but only the letter G), referring to the Hutten-Czapski collection. This one he did not describe.
In addition, the last digit of the date punched through, which resulted in it being treated in KMP as a non-existent 1668 vintage.
Beautifully minted and very nicely preserved
An exceptional numismatic coin.
