Crown gold coins, known as tymphes, were an issue designed to shore up the country's economic situation after the Swedish Deluge. They were also an issue on a very large scale, which can still be seen from these coins today in the form of sheet metal defects or other imperfections in minting. And while buying the tymph itself, except from the Lviv mint, is not a big challenge, finding one in mint preservation condition already is.
A beautifully preserved, minted tymph from the Bydgoszcz mint, from the first year of their minting.
Very rare in this condition.
