The only shilling of Jan III Sobieski. The coin was made to fill the shortage of a perfunctory coin, the minting of which was undertaken by Christian Schirmer, the warden of the Danzig Mint at the time (for which he was paid 100 zlotys). As highlighted by Marian Gumowski at the Danzig Mint, it was also the first Danzig coin without the city coat of arms.
