Julian of Pannonia was a short-lived usurper during the reign of Carinus in the Pannonia territories. The featured coin is somewhat of a propaganda coin. On the reverse are depicted two Pannonia, and on the obverse is a bust of Julian. Such a treatment was intended to show, Julian as the ruler of both Pannonia - Upper and Lower.

Obverse: Bust of the emperor wearing a radial crown, armor and paludamentum, to the right, in the rim the legend IMP C M AVR IVLIANVS P F AVG

Reverse: Two Pannonias standing left, extending hands and holding signum, between them Γ, in left field S, in segment XXI, in the rim legend PANNONIAE AVG
